DEAD SEA T Pearce Found a thing just the other day and I needed to throw it away How can I lose this permanently? Gonna take it right on down to the dead sea Throw it out in the sea While I'm standing at the dead sea saw a man looking back at me could it be the man i was or the man that i need to be staring into the dead sea? aint it funny how waves can flow? the heavens pull and the high winds blow then somehow we wind up here in a place where we face our fear floating on a dead sea don't know how it got this far, started wondering where you are I was hidden in the garden well hoping that the saints don't tell on me now i find me at the dead sea nothing lives in the water here, nothing lives anywhere near so afraid to let it be and i'm hanging on desperately floating out on the dead sea in a place of helplessness the waters moved in a sweet caress even though I can't drink this cup, still a hand is holding me up can't sink in the dead sea

Thorns ©T. Pearce There was a time when I knew your voice; It was as real as a dollar bill There was a time when I know your way; It was something I could just feel There was a time when I knew your word, And it was always on my lips There was a time when I knew your will, How could I ever forget?
But I fell among thorns I got caught in the weeds
I fell among thorns, Now the world is choking me There was a time when I showed your love, I would even go out of my way There was a time when I loved my neighbor In a Samaritan kind of way There was a time when I wanted to give With never a thought to take There was a time when learning to live Meant dying to my selfish ways Where did my first love go? Show me the path of return
The things that I used to know I find that I need to re-learn There was a time when seeking your face Was something I wanted to do There was time when all of my time Was spent getting closer to you

Dead Flies (c) 2011 Ted Pearce & Daniel Pearce Dead flies in the ointment of the apothocary Causeth it to send forth a stinking savor So does a little bit of folly in a very wise man King Solomon wrote this song, it’s Ecclesiastes 10:1, Trying to give some instruction to his beloved son Don't you mess with those wild women lest thou pay the price, Don't you go playing like Tiger lest you want to lose your wife You might not be the sharpest bowl in the knife drawer, You might not say “nuclear” so great But if you say you had no relations with that woman, They gonna laugh at you in all 57 states You can be too smart but not too wise, You can be too cool, a real legend in your own mind But every foolish thing you do will someday be revealed, Just ask ole Charlie Sheen and let him tell you how it feels We can laugh at these celebrities, but c’mon, let's get real, You don't have to be famous to be getting the very same deal You could be known as a great man for your whole life through and through, But you just do one stupid thing and that’s how they'll remember you

“That Kind of Love” (Rabbi of Kalisz) W. Waldman & T Pearce He was born on the Amber road, by the way of the Baltic Sea A frail little boy in 1914. Winds of war rolled in from the west to ravage the town of Kalisz And nothing was left when they finally did leave Where can you go when nothing remains? Nowhere to run from that kind of pain He could have hardened his heart, let the bitterness sweep him away But he found the strength of his God and forgave Hosanna! hosanna! how can we treat each other the way that we do? To the last blood he had to rise above, How can we find the grace for that kind of love, that kind of love? September of '39 there came a different wind From the east and the west, the nightmare began again The beautiful land had become smokestacks and rivers of red He stood at the threshold with all of his friends "Schema Yisrael, the Lord our God is one" was on their lips And then they were gone Hosanna, hosanna, how can we treat each other the way that we do? To the last blood he chose to rise above, How can we find the grace for that kind of love? Where were you when we walked in, and have we all been forsaken? Have you let the darkness win after everything they've taken? Not my will but yours be done, but if I could ask just one question How could this be worth the price, Why are the innocent always the sacrifice? Hosanna, hosanna, how can we treat each other the way that we do? Despised and rejected by men, acquainted with grief A lamb to the slaughter was He Over the forest and golden fields of Kalisz A strange kind of ash floats towards the sea...

Remembering Lucy Baum © 2013 W. Grund & T Pearce Rofex Pub BMI Admin Tunecore Though my head says that it's all over now My old heart can't let go somehow Am I supposed to go on now like it never was? And though it hurts more than I can say, The memory never goes away Sometimes at night I crawl and pray that it would…. It's still worth remembering, still worth remembering So I am remembering for the rest of my life Oh I am remembering, yes, I am remembering 'Cause it is the remembering that keeps us alive And I wish I could return to a time when we would yearn For a day that we'd play in the sun, and we'd laugh and we'd dance Now things could never be the same but it helps when I call out your name To believe that somehow you hear And it's still worth remembering, still worth remembering So I am remembering for the rest of my life Oh I am remembering, I am remembering 'Cause it is the remembering that keeps us alive It keeps us alive...

He Believes © 2014 W Waldman & B Rowan Wendy Waldman ASCAP admin: Pen Publishing Brent Rowan ASCAP Wing and a Prayer Music Coming to the crossroads, don't know which way to go Everything I thought I knew now it's clear I don't know Wondering if there's someone there Anyone who sees or believes When did it get so dark, when did we lose our way? Who can hear what's in our hearts when we pray, when we pray, when we pray If you think there's no one there, There's someone who sees, He believes I can do even better, I can go even farther, When I try, when it's hard to keep dreaming When I think I can't go on, he sees me, He still believes If you think there's no one there, there's someone who sees If you think that no one cares just believe He believes
